If an item has a crew, Sage Estimating (SQL) uses the prices from the rate tables for the selected crew to calculate labor and equipment amounts.
Crew pricing depends on the type of order unit used by the labor and equipment categories on the item.
- Person units bases the item price on the average cost per crew member.
- Crew units bases the item price on the total cost of the crew.
-
Generic time-based units uses the default crew method specified in the Database Settings window. You open the Database Settings window in one of the following ways:
On the File menu, click Standard Database Settings.
Tips:
- The item must include the categories of the resources in the specified crew. In other words, if you choose a crew with labor resources, one of the item categories must be labor.
- If you enter a price in the labor or equipment category for an item with a crew, Sage Estimating (SQL) removes the crew from that item.
- Click [Edit Crew] to create or modify a crew.
