Unit description

Enter an abbreviation (up to 8 characters) for the unit of measure that is used to accumulate costs for an entire phase. Typical units include sf, cy, and gal, for example. You can also click Down arrow to choose from a list.

Although a phase may include items with a variety of units, the phase unit should be the unit that makes the most sense when applied to this phase of work. Sage Estimating (SQL) uses the specified unit to calculate the cost per unit for the entire phase.

Tips:

  • You can omit the unit for group phases because they are usually too diverse for accumulating costs.
  • Phase units are visible when the spreadsheet is summarized to the phase level and when reports include the phase cost per unit.
