Lock Column command

Use this command to prevent up to six of the leftmost columns (hidden as well as visible) from scrolling out of sight as you move across the spreadsheet. By locking the first few columns, you can see the information that identifies each row no matter where you are in the spreadsheet.

Lock Column is on the shortcut menu for column headers.

Shortcut menus provide access to commands that you may need to accomplish a particular task.

To open a shortcut menu, point to something in a Sage Estimating (SQL) window, and then right-click it. The available commands vary based on where you are pointing.

Tips:

  • You need to be on the last of the columns to be locked when you choose the command.
  • A blue vertical gridline marks the end of the locked columns.
  • If the locked columns are wider than the Spreadsheet window, you will be unable to move to other parts of the spreadsheet.
  • Locking from the spreadsheet changes the number of locked columns in the Modify Spreadsheet Layout window.
