Item Takeoff window

This window is used to select the items and specify the takeoff quantities needed for an estimate. The window contains a list of standard database items, a pane showing the variables from the formulas, and a grid showing the selected items.

The toolbar and shortcut menu provide commands to help with the process. Sage Estimating (SQL) sends the items into the spreadsheet when you click [OK].

Shortcut menus provide access to commands that you may need to accomplish a particular task.

To open a shortcut menu, point to something in a Sage Estimating (SQL) window, and then right-click it. The available commands vary based on where you are pointing.

To open the Item Takeoff window:

On the ribbon, from the Takeoff group on the Takeoff tab, click Item.

Tip: If your settings allow it, you can add a new item by selecting Add New Item. For more information, click the Help icon available on the ribbon on the toolbar, and then click a field or button.
