About the Recycle Bin

The Recycle Bin helps protect against accidental data loss and supports administrative review by tracking when an estimate was deleted and which user deleted it.

When you delete an estimate, Estimating moves it to the Recycle Bin instead of removing it immediately. This enables you to review deleted estimates, restore them if needed, or (if you have permission) permanently delete them when you are sure they are no longer required.

You can use the Recycle Bin to:

  • Review estimates that were recently deleted

  • See when an estimate was deleted and who deleted it

  • Restore an estimate that was deleted accidentally

  • Permanently delete estimates that are no longer needed

  • Review audit information for estimates that have been permanently deleted

The Recycle Bin includes two panes:

  • Estimates — Used to review, restore, or permanently remove deleted estimates

  • Audit — Used to review audit information for estimates that have been permanently deleted

The Estimates pane

The Estimates tab lists estimates that have been deleted but have not yet been permanently removed.
