Type of unit

Click Down arrow to choose a type that specifies whether a unit is time-based. Sage Estimating (SQL) calculates the labor and equipment hours for all items that have a time-based order unit in the per field of the Edit Items window.

  • None: non time-based unit
  • Hour, Day, Week, Month: generic time-based units
  • Person Hour, Person Day, Person Week, Person Month: man-based units

  • Crew hour, Crew day, Crew week, Crew month: crew-based units

    Note: This feature is available only if you have a license to use Crews.

You open the Edit Items window in one of the following ways:

On the ribbon, from the Elements group on the Data tab, click Items.

Tips:  

  • There must be time-based units of measure if you want Sage Estimating (SQL) to calculate total hours and crew prices.
  • In the unit list, a small clock symbol image\clock.gif identifies the time-based units.
