Job cost phase
Enter the code (up to 15 characters based on the job cost interface type) in your job cost application to receive the quantity entered for this phase in the spreadsheet. Your entry is also used to prefill the job cost code for items within this phase.
- If your standard database is configured
to import information from Job Cost you can click
to view
a list of available codes. Sage Estimating (SQL) imports these codes from the company you specify in the Standard Databases tab of the Estimating Management Console. - If coding is the same in both applications, you can leave this field blank.

If coding is different, enter the job cost code provided by your Accounting department. For example, the phase code for concrete slabs in Sage Estimating (SQL) might differ from the code in job cost.

Tips:
- You cannot assign a job cost phase to a group phase.
- When you click [OK], Sage Estimating (SQL) removes spaces and completes the suffix based on the specified format.
- Codes for Job Cost should not exceed 12 characters.
- If you are not interfacing with job cost, you can use this field for another purpose.
