Saving a report as a file

Export button

Use this button to create a PDF file or an ASCII text file containing the report output.

  • Save the report as a PDF file to preserve the report's format and layout. Anyone with Acrobat Reader 3.0 or higher can read the file. This format is useful for archiving reports or exchanging them electronically.
  • Save the report as an ASCII text file to make it compatible with other applications. You can format the file with or without separators between values.

Tip: To select where to export a report automatically, set up a default directory on the Folders tab of the Estimating Options window (on the Preferences tab of the Estimating Management Console).
