You can combine matching assemblies on the spreadsheet. Some estimators like to combine assemblies because it makes it easier for them to review the spreadsheet during the revision process. When you combine assemblies, you do not lose any of your estimate detail or accuracy.
To combine matching assemblies:
Put the spreadsheet in Combined Assembly sort sequence. How?
Tips:
- No editing is permitted on a combined assembly overline.
- To combine matching items
into one line, select Home tab > Spreadsheet group > Combine (in classic view, select View menu > Combine or click
on the toolbar). An asterisk (*) displays
at the beginning of rows that contain combined items. - Combined Assembly is an available sort level for spreadsheet sequences.
