New Report window

Use this window to specify a name and associated report design file for a new estimate report.

For example, say you have a report design called NewReport.rpt that you want to use as the basis for a new estimate report. In the New Report window, select NewReport.rpt, and then give the estimate report a meaningful name, such as "ItemReport" to make identifying it easier.

You can then specify report options, such as item combination or addon allocation, using the Report Manager window.

To open the New Report window:

  1. At the top of the Estimating Management Console, click [Report Manager].
  2. In the Report Manager window, click [New Report], and then click Crystal Report, SSRS Report, or Custom Report, depending on the program used to create the report design on which you are basing your new report.

    Note:

    • Crystal Reports use the RPT file format.
    • SSRS Reports use the RDL file format required by Microsoft SQL Server Report Services.
    • Custom Reports use whatever file format is required by the report design software (for example, DOC, XLS, and so on).
