Changing an existing database model

  1. On the Database tab, from the Miscellaneous group, click Models.

    In classic view, click Database menu > Models.

    Note: The command is available only when a standard database is open.

  2. In the Model window, click The List (ellipsis) button and then select the model you want to change.

  3. Make changes as needed.

  4. To change the model code, click [Renumber] and enter the new code in the Model field.

  5. To edit an existing question, item, or assembly, select the line and modify the fields as necessary.

  6. To replace a line in the model with one of a different type, select the line and then choose the proper command from the toolbar.

  7. To move a line in the model, select the header of the line you want to move and drag it to a new location.

  8. When you finish changing the model, click [OK] to save it.

  9. Change other models in the same manner. When you finish, click [Close]
