Select/Edit Alternate Statuses window

Note: This feature is available only with a Sage Estimating (SQL) SQL product license. (It is not available with Sage Estimating Essential.)

Use this window to define statuses that you use to track the acceptance of alternate items and assemblies before including them in your estimates.

Example: Say your customer wants to know how their choice of materials will affect the price of the estimate. You might assign a Proposed status for alternate materials that you have suggested, Under Review for material that they are considering, and Accepted for material that they agree to use.

When defining a status, you can designate an Included attribute, which determines whether alternates assigned that status are included in estimate totals. It also enables you to present different views of an estimate.

To display this window, on the ribbon in the Estimating program, click the Advanced tab, and then click [Statuses].

Tip: To display a Search box for the Alternate Status grid if it is not visible, press Ctrl + F.
