Changing the cells in an item table

Note: This feature is available only with a Sage Estimating (SQL) SQL product license. (It is not available with Sage Estimating Essential.)

You can use the commands on the shortcut menu to change the input ranges, items to return, or calculation methods in an item table. These commands are available from the grid in the Item Table window.

To change a value in an item table:

  1. Right-click the cell.
  2. Choose one of the following commands from the shortcut menu:

    • Insert Row inserts a blank row. Before inserting a row, you need to click a cell in the grid.
    • Insert Column inserts a blank column. Before inserting a column, you need to click a cell in the grid. This turns a one-dimensional table into a two-dimensional table.
    • Substitute Item inserts the selected item into the current cell.
    • Delete Item removes the item from the current cell.
    • Edit Calculation allows you to set up a special formula for the item.
    • Delete Calculation removes the calculation from the current cell. You can then set up a custom calculation for the item.

The command is available from the columns containing the item formula. To see these columns, select the Show calculation column option.
