Item grid (Assembly window)
This grid at the bottom of the Assembly window contains the items selected for the assembly. The columns contain the phase and item codes, description, takeoff unit, and calculation method (where I is item formula, * is factor, F is selected formula, fy is custom calculation) for each item.
Tips:
- To fill in the grid, click [Insert] and choose the appropriate command. You can insert items, item tables, and select-at-takeoff items.
- For a select-at-takeoff item, you can enter a prompt in the Description column. Your entry appears during assembly takeoff to prompt for an item selection. To open the Item list at a specific place during takeoff, use the Substitute Item command and choose the item.
- For any of the item formulas, you can set up a variable with information specific to this assembly.
- To change the contents of a row, right-click a column and choose the Substitute <xxx> command.
- To switch the calculation method for a row, right-click a cell in the Calculation column and choose a command. A ü appears beside your selection.
- To delete an item from the grid, right-click the row header and choose Delete Row(s).
