To change the order of the spreadsheet columns:

Use the mouse to select the headings of the columns you want to move. You can move one column, or multiple, adjacent columns. Columns that have both a quantity and a unit move the two together.
The cursor changes to a four-way arrow.

Press and hold the mouse button as you drag the selected columns to their new location. Release the mouse button to insert the columns.

You can use this feature to customize the appearance of the Spreadsheet report:
- Follow the procedure above to move the spreadsheet columns where you want them.
- Select the Spreadsheet report from the Estimate Reports group on the Reports tab (or on the Reports menu, in classic view).

Click [Report Options], and then click [Prefill from Spreadsheet] in the Spreadsheet Report Options window.
The report settings now match the setup of your estimate spreadsheet.

You can also change the order of the spreadsheet columns in the Modify Spreadsheet Layout window.

Click Home tab > Sequence group > [Layout]. (In classic view, click View > Spreadsheet Layout.)
- Select the column name you want to move, and then click Reposition Column to move the column to a new location.
