Description column

This spreadsheet column shows the description of each row. The spreadsheet sequence determines what kind of description appears at each level. Possible descriptions include the group phase, phase, item, assembly, material class, subcontractor, location, and work breakdown structure (WBS).

Tips:  

  • Only descriptions at the item level can be changed.
  • If you change an item description, you have the option of changing the description of other matching items.
  • To enter the same description for several cells, select Fill Down on the shortcut menu.
  • Question marks (???) mean that the standard database contains no phase with the code shown. This may happen if you delete a phase or bring in an item from an estimate based on a standard database without that phase.
