Select a SQL Server window
Use this window to specify the Microsoft® SQL Server® instance where you want your Pervasive database files migrated.
To display this window, from the Settings window, click [Select] beside a SQL database server name box.
To generate a list of available SQL Server instances, type your SQL Server instance in the box or click [Search]. The Data Migration Utility scans all computers on the network for available servers unless you select the Local only check box. Select your desired instance from the Server Name list after the Data Migration Utility finishes its scan.
Note: If your network is extensive, and you want to stop the scan, click the arrow to the right of the [Search] button and select Cancel search.
Click [] to test your connection to the specified instance after making your selection.

Type your destination SQL Server instance (server) in the box in ComputerName\InstanceName format or select it from the list. The Data Migration Utility transfers Pervasive databases to the instance you select when performing data migration. Click [Search] if you want the Data Migration Utility to search your network or computer for all available SQL Server instances and display them in the list. Caution! You must select an instance that is not currently being used by any other operators or an error condition may result. |

Click to perform a scan of your network for all available SQL Server instances. The Data Migration Utility then displays all SQL Server instances it locates in the list. You can stop the scan at any time by clicking the arrow key Note: If your network is extensive, you can limit the scan to instances on your local computer by clicking the Local Only check box. |

Select this check box to limit SQL Server instance scans to the local computer only. Clear this check box to allow scanning of all instances on your network. Use this check box to limit scans to your local computer if your network size is extensive. |

Click to save your settings changes and close the Select a SQL Server window. The Data Migration Utility automatically verifies your connection with the specified SQL Server instance when you click [OK]. |
