Company setup pane
Use the settings in this pane to enter information about a company in your address book. Click on a company in the Companies list (in the Companies/Contacts pane) to access these settings.
To display this pane from the Estimating Management Console, click [Address Book] at the top of the Estimating Management Console, and then click [New company] at the top of the Address Book window.

[Return] | Closes the Company Setup pane and returns you to the contacts search grid. |

Click to open the Notes window so you can add or edit contact notes for future reference. Use this feature to add information such as a company's return policy or a person's contact preference, for example. |

Company Name |
Type the company name (up to 30 characters). The Sage Estimating software displays the name you type in each company list. |
Location | Type the location of the company (up to 30 characters). For example, you can use this field for companies with multiple locations in the same city. |
Region |
Select the geographical region this company serves. You can add regions to the selection list by clicking [New Region]. The new region is added to the Address Book database. |
Sort As |
Accept or edit the name displayed in the box, or enter the company’s name as you want it to appear in companies list (up to 20 characters). For example, sort as Portland; City of rather than City of Portland. If you enter a company name with an initial "The," it is automatically placed at the end of the name; for example, The ABC Company becomes ABC Company; The. |
<Address selector> | Select which address to display. You can choose Street, Shipping, Remittance, or Other address. |
Address | Type the numerical address and street name (as applicable) for this company (up to 30 characters for each line). |
City | Type the city for this company (up to 30 characters). |
State | Type the abbreviation of the state or province for this company's address (up to 4 characters). |
Postal Code | Type the zip or postal code for this company (up to 10 characters). |
Country | Type the country or region (up to 30 characters). |

Trades |
Select applicable trades for this company. You can add new trades to the list by clicking [New Trade]. |
Business Phone | Type the contact’s phone number (up to 15 characters). |
Business Fax | Type the contact’s fax number (up to 15 characters). |

Web address | Type the company’s Internet address (up to 254 characters). |

Business Enterprise Type |
Select any or all business enterprise types that apply to this company. If you are bidding on contracts that must meet U.S. government hiring regulations, you can use these fields to track minority and woman-owned business enterprise (MWBE) qualifications. You can run reports and inquiries for companies by each business enterprise type.

Inactive check box | Select this check box if this company is no longer active. You cannot select an inactive company in Sage Estimating. However, you can still access the company contact in the Companies list. |
Notes:
- You can set up employees of the company by creating Person records and adding the company on their record. The name and job title you enter on the Person record appear here.
- Employees of the company appear in this grid. To enter additional information for the person, you select the person's name in the People list (in the Companies/Contacts pane), and then edit the person record.
- To remove a contact from the grid, you must delete the contact in the People list.

Mobile Phone | Displays the contact’s mobile phone number. You can edit the phone number by selecting the contact in the People list (in the Companies/Contacts pane). |
Email address | Displays the contact’s e-mail address. You can edit the email address by selecting the contact in the People list (in the Companies/Contacts pane). |
Primary estimating contact | Select this checkbox if the person is the primary contact for the company. (The primary contact is used on some subcontractor reports.) |
