Note: Update Database Pricing is available only when a standard database is open.
Use the commands to change the prices of items in the standard database.
- On the ribbon, from the Updates group on the Data tab, click By Category or .
- In classic view, click Database > Update Database > By Category or .
Each command opens a window where you can set up processing and, in some cases, reporting options.
- By Category updates items with the selected categories.
- By Price Code updates items with the selected price codes and categories. Choose this method if you subscribe to a pricing service.
The process also updates all linked prices and dates in the Database Item window (Pricing tab). The new prices are used in estimates started after the update. Repricing does not affect items in existing estimates.
