Base Productivity column (Labor, Equipment)
For the labor and equipment categories, this spreadsheet column shows the original productivity of each item. This value is used to change takeoff quantities to order quantities for labor and equipment. It does not include the productivity factor.
You can also edit the base productivity directly for labor and equipment usage when you are crating an estimate.
When you enter a manual adjustment to an amount that affects productivity, if the existing productivity factor is anything but 1 (one), Estimating adjusts the productivity and inserts a comment in the Productivity Factor cell. Cells that have comments are marked by a red triangle in the upper right corner. To view a comment, hover over the marked cell with your mouse. Comments include the original value and, if appropriate, the percent change.
Tips:
- When you reprice an estimate with a factor table that has a labor productivity factor, the base labor productivity is adjusted.
- The Base Productivity column is hidden by default. To see the column, select its Visible option in the Edit Spreadsheet Layout Details window.
