External Report
You use External Report, available in the Estimating Management Console, to create snapshots of your data that you can use to produce custom reports and dashboards, and to analyze using a variety of business intelligence tools. The data is saved in a separate external report database in your SQL Server instance.
To create data for external reports, you need to:
-
Add configurations with settings that you want the Estimating Management Console and Sage Estimating to use when generating an external copy of your estimate data for specific estimates.
For more information, see Adding an External Report Database Configuration.
-
Generate the data using selected configurations any time you want an updated snapshot of your estimate data. The data is current at the time you generate it.
Note: If you generate data for a large number of estimates—for example, by running the Estimating External Report Database Generator—do so only when no other users are working with Estimating.
To open External Report:
In the Estimating Management Console, click the [External Report] button on the ribbon.
