About Pasting and Item Dependencies

When you paste items from one database to another, Database Editor does not copy dependent data elements. (Dependent data elements include elements that are associated with the item; for example formulas, variables, crews, units, and subcategories.) For the paste to succeed, those data elements must already exist in the target estimate.
