Model Takeoff window
This window is used to select a model you want to prepare for takeoff and to select the models you want to generate to the spreadsheet.
If you do not have a database open, Estimating lists only estimate models in this window. You can view an estimate model without opening its database, however you cannot make any changes.
To open the Model takeoff window:
On the ribbon, from the Takeoff group on the Takeoff tab, click .

- To begin taking off a model, select the one you want from the list of database models.
- To review a model in progress or change a model already generated to the spreadsheet, select from the list of estimate models.

[Copy Interview]
Opens a copy of the selected model interview in the Interview window. You can add, change, or delete information without having to fill out the entire interview again.

[Take off Hold] returns the status of a selected estimate model to Ready to Generate or Re-Generate. This button is available only when the selected estimate model has a status of On Hold.
[Delete]
Removes the selected estimate model permanently from the estimate. If you delete a model that has already been generated to the spreadsheet, Estimating deletes all items and assemblies associated with that model from the estimate.
