If you need to stop working but are not yet ready to generate the model to the estimate, you can put a model on hold until you are ready to complete it. The On Hold status prevents anyone from inadvertently generating an unfinished model to the spreadsheet.
Before you begin
In the Interview window, save any changes you have made to the model and click [Close].
To put a model on hold:
- In the Model Takeoff window, select Estimate as the source and choose the model you want to put on hold.
- Click [Put on hold]. Estimating changes the model status to On Hold.
You can continue to access the model and make changes. The model status does not change.
To take a model off hold:
- In the Model Takeoff window, select Estimate as the source and choose the model you want to put on hold.
- Click [Take off hold]. Estimating changes the model status to its appropriate status.
