Open Standard Database command

Use this command (File > Open Standard Database) to tell Sage Estimating (SQL) which standard database to use. It is also useful if you need to edit a different standard database or start an estimate based on another standard database. Your selection remains in effect until changed with this command.

The path of the open standard database appears in the title bar of the main Sage Estimating (SQL) window:

  • If there are open estimates, this is the standard database associated with the current estimate.
  • Otherwise, it is the standard database last specified by the Open command.

Tips:

  • When you create a new estimate, Sage Estimating (SQL) uses the open standard database.
  • You can attach a different standard database to an estimate by choosing Open from the Database group of the Data tab while the estimate is open. This new standard database will remain attached to the estimate until you choose to close it or open a different standard database.
