Creating layouts for the estimate grid
Duplicating an estimate grid layout
Edit Estimate Grid Layouts window
This window contains a list of the estimate grid layouts to which you have access. Estimate grid layouts determine the appearance of the estimate grids in the Manage Estimates window and on the Estimates tab in the Estimating Management Console. You can have as many estimate grid layouts as you want.
For example, if you regularly need to view different columns than the ones in the default layout, you use the Show/Hide Columns window to customize the grid, and then either save the new set of columns as the default layout or save them with a new name so that you can apply that layout to the grid later, without overwriting the default layout.
You use the Edit Estimate Grid Layouts window to:
- Rename an existing estimate grid layout.
- Add a new estimate grid layout based on the default layout.
- Duplicate (copy) an existing layout.
- Remove an existing layout, or restore a layout you removed. (You can restore a layout only if you have not yet closed the window since deleting the layout.)
-
Choose to share a selected layout with other Estimating users.
Open the Edit Estimate Grid Layouts window in one of these ways:
In the Manage Estimate window or on the Estimates tab in the Estimating Management Console, click .
Tips:
-
To apply a defined layout to the estimate grid, select it from the layouts list box above the estimate grid.
-
Sage Estimating (SQL) automatically applies the layout you used most recently in an estimate grid.
