Select/Edit WBS Values window

You use the Edit WBS Values window to define valid values for WBS codes in an open standard database.

You also use this window to select valid WBS values when you are working with WBS codes in a database.

To add or edit database WBS Values:

  1. Display the WBS tab in the Database Settings window:

    On the ribbon, select the Data tab, and then in the Codes group, click WBS.

  2. Open the Edit Database WBS Values window:

    1. In the grid on the WBS tab, right-click the WBS Code for which you want to enter values.

    2. Click Edit [Code] Values.

  3. To add a new WBS value:

    1. Click [Add]. to create a new row in the grid.
    2. In the Value column for the new row, type five alphanumeric characters.
    3. In the Description column, type a description to help you to remember how this value is used when you need to select a value for the WBS code, later.
    4. Double-click in the Unit column, and then select a unit of measure for this WBS value from the dropdown list.
    5. Double-click in the Notes column, type any supplementary comments you need in the Notes window, and then click [OK].

    To edit an existing WBS value, simply type a new value, description, or note for the value, or select a different unit.

    To delete an existing WBS value, click the row indicator a row indicator on the spreadsheet to select the value you want to delete, and then click [Remove].

    Tip: To display a Search box for the WBS Value grid, if it is not visible, press Ctrl + F.

  4. When you have finished adding and editing values for the selected WBS code, click [OK] to close the Edit Database WBS Values window.
