Copying linked takeoff quantities
You can copy a takeoff quantity from a cell that is linked to an eTakeoff Dimension variable and then paste it to another item. Sage Estimating copies the Dimension link along with the quantity, so you can link more than one estimate item to the same trace.
If you do not want the destination cell to remain linked to the Dimension measurement, paste only the quantity value.
To copy a linked Takeoff Quantity cell
-
On the Estimating spreadsheet, select a Takeoff Quantity cell that is linked to an eTakeoff Dimension variable.
-
Copy the cell.
-
Right-click the Takeoff Quantity cell for the item where you want to reuse the takeoff quantity.
-
Select from the shortcut menu. (You can also press Ctrl+V.)
The pasted cell keeps the Dimension link. If you later break the link for an item, other items that are still linked to the same trace remain linked.
To reuse the quantity value when you do not want the destination cell to keep the Dimension link:
-
Copy a Takeoff Quantity cell that is linked to an eTakeoff Dimension variable.
-
Right-click the destination Takeoff Quantity cell.
-
Select from the shortcut menu. (You can also press Ctrl+Shift+V.)
