Changing the size of the spreadsheet columns

To change the size of the spreadsheet columns:

Place the cursor on the right border of the column heading.

The cursor should look like this $image\colsize.gif$ .
Drag the cursor to make the column narrower or wider.

Tips:

When you enter large numbers in a column, the column expands to accommodate the entry. If you enter a smaller number later, the column does not shrink to fit the smaller entry.
You can eliminate excess width in one or more spreadsheet columns using the Best Fit Column feature. How?
