Eliminating excess column width on the spreadsheet (Best Fit Column)

The Best Fit Column feature adjusts the width of the selected columns to fit the widest column entry. Sage Estimating applies the "best fit" only to the levels currently shown in the spreadsheet. For example, if the spreadsheet is collapsed to the group phase level when you use this feature, Sage Estimating looks only at the group phase level to determine the appropriate column width.

To eliminate excess column width:

  1. Use the mouse to select one or more column headings.
  2. Click the right mouse button and select Best Fit Column from the shortcut menu.
