Move/Copy command

Use this command to change the sequence level of one or more items in the spreadsheet. It lets you move or copy items from one spreadsheet level to another, and provides an easy way to take care of unassigned items. For example, if the location for an item is unassigned you can select the item and move it to the appropriate location.

The list below shows which spreadsheet levels allow move/copy operations.

Tips:

Move/Copy is unavailable from the first three sequence tabs or if items are combined.
To include all items within an overline, collapse that level before starting the Move/Copy operation.
Remember: you cannot add items to an assembly after takeoff. You can, however, move items within an assembly as well as move or copy items to the Unassigned level.
The command is also on the shortcut menu when you right-click a row header.
Move/copy operations do not include information from bid grids. Items lose all information from the bid grid when returned to an estimate.
