Changing an existing work breakdown structure (WBS)

Open the Estimate WBS Settings or the Database WBS Settings window.
- On the ribbon, click the .
- In classic view, click

Select the source.
Note: If both an estimate and a standard database are open, the Estimate WBS Settings window appears initially. (If only an estimate or a standard database is open, you cannot switch to the other option.)

To change a WBS code in the current estimate, select Estimate.

To change a WBS code in the standard database, select Database.
Note: Changing WBS codes in the standard database does not affect existing estimates.

- Change selected WBS codes as necessary.
- To delete a WBS code, select the row, and then click [Delete].
- To renumber WBS codes throughout the standard database, click [Move].
- To remove all references to the WBS codes and their associated values from items, addons, spreadsheet sequences, and assemblies, click [Clear All]
- When you finish making changes, click [OK] to save them.
- Click [Close].
Tip: You can also change standard database WBS codes in the Database Settings window from the Data tab (Database menu in classic view).
