To change an item table:
-
Open the Database Item Table window in one of the following ways:
- On the ribbon, from the Elements group on the Data tab, click Item Tables.
- In classic view, select Database menu > Assemblies > Item Tables.
- Beside the Item table box, click to display the Item Table List, and then double-click the item table you want to change.
- In the Database Item Table window, update the table as needed.
To change the table name, click [Rename] and enter the new name in the Item table field.
To insert a row above the current row, click the right mouse button in the leftmost cell of the row and select Insert Row from the shortcut menu.
To delete a row, click the right mouse button in the leftmost cell of the row and select Delete Row from the shortcut menu.
To insert a column to the left of the current column, click [Insert] and select Column from the shortcut menu. Inserting a column in a one-dimensional table changes the table into a two-dimensional table.
(two dimensional table) To delete a column, click the right mouse button in the column’s input range cell and select Delete Column from the shortcut menu.
- When you finish changing the item table, click [OK] to save it.
- Change other item tables in the same manner.
- When you finish, click [Close] to close the Item Table window, and then click [Cancel] to close the Item Table List.
Tip: You can also open and edit an existing item table quickly when you are working in the Edit Assembly window, enabling you to add or edit item tables "on the fly" while you are performing a takeoff.
