Item Notes
Name

If desired, type a new name for the role.

Description

Type a description, such as the purpose of the role, that will help you identify the role later.

Disabled

Select this checkbox to make the role unavailable to assign to users. Clear the checkbox to make it available again.

Disabling a role that has users or groups assigned to it removes all permissions associated with the role for those users and groups. You need to assign the affected users and groups to another role before they can access Sage Estimating features.

Example: Suppose you add a network group named "California Branch Estimators" to the Junior Estimator role, thereby giving them estimate editing permissions. If you disable the Junior Estimator role later, all users in the California Branch Estimators group lose the ability to view estimates in Sage Estimating.

Note: If a user or group also belongs to another role, they retain the permissions assigned to that role.

Select Features for Role

Select the checkbox for one or more features in the list to provide access to the feature.

Example: Select the Create estimate checkbox to allow users and groups assigned to the role to create new estimates.

Clear any checkbox to prevent access to the associated feature for users assigned to the role.
