Note: Although you can copy assemblies, you cannot cut and paste assemblies from one estimate to another.

  1. Open both estimates.

  2. From the row headers, select the items you want to cut, or the items and assemblies you want to copy.

  3. Click An image of the Copy button on the ribbon on the ribbon or click An image of the Cut button on the toolbar. on the toolbar in classic view.

  4. Click the estimate where you want to paste the items or assemblies.

  5. Click An image of the Paste button on the ribbon..

Tips:  

  • Pasted information includes all levels. Items and assemblies automatically appear in the proper sequence.

  • Assembly information is copied to the same sequence only if you select the complete assembly. Partial assemblies are copied as "unassigned."

  • You cannot add items to an assembly after takeoff. You can, however, paste items elsewhere within an assembly or in the Unassigned level.

  • The estimates do not have to be organized in the same sequence. For example, one estimate could be in Phase/Item order and the other could be in Location order.

  • Crew information comes with the items, even if they use different standard databases.

    Note: This feature is available only if you have a license to use Crews.

  • Subcontractor bids (in the Bid Grid) are not included in cut and copy operations.
