Renumber Items

Renumber items lets you easily move items around in the standard database. You can renumber items to the same or a different phase.

Note: You can overwrite existing items only if the conflicting item number is within the selection. Database Editor prevents you from overwriting items if they are not within the selection.

1. Select the row header for an item or range of items.
2. From the Actions group of the Home tab, click Renumber.
3. Select a phase in which to renumber the item or items from the Target phase list.
4. Type a value in the Start item box. Enter up to 4 characters.
5. If you selected more than one item, use the mouse to move the red box to the number group you want to increment.
6. If you selected more than one item, type a value in the Increment Value box. Enter up to 4 digits.
7. Under Job Cost Phase, select a method to handle the Job Cost Phase column.
